Adel - Reference sheet

This is a reference sheet of a character I've come up with the concept of recently for a story. He is one of many characters who use focusing artifacts called Crux to use their chi and manifest it into physical forms or energy, whatever the user can imagine. Adel's Crux is the pendant hanging around his neck, a rare White Crux, which is reflected in the color of his manifestations.

Since I'm going to try some OC tournaments, here's some more info:

Crux (pronounced "croo"): a talisman crafted out of different kinds of crystals, with each color representing an element. Adel's Crux is white, sharing a connection with "life" and therefore difficult to weild. He originally had a green Crux, connected to wind, which is also reflected in his style. Using a Crux takes training, discipline, and focus because it manifests the user's own chi. Unrestrained use can drain all of one's chi in one use if not careful. This also means the use of the Crux is based on how much energy Adel has. He has adapted his use in his constructs so that instead of creating a new construct every time, he manipulates current constructs into new forms to conserve energy. The strength of the constructs or blasts relies on the amount of energy used, and the focus of the user.

Adel: Like all Crux weilders, he had a master who instructed him and served as a mentor. When war broke out, Crux weilders of all colors chose sides except for some like Adel, and his master Toshi. Toshi was slain in the crossfire of a battle which caused Adel, then 14, to snap and become like a force of nature, destroying anyone he came across. A Crux weilder and hero of the people fought Adel to a stand-still but eventually lost. This hero reminded Adel of his former master and filled him with grief. He disgarded his green Crux and swore to never hurt anything again.

After spending ten years in the company of monks seeking inner peace, he returned to the monastery to find the temple destroyed. Some remaining soldiers attacked him and the pendant Toshi had left him revealed itself to be a white Crux. Now Adel searches for any monks who could have survived and answers for why they were attacked.

Personality: After much self reflection, Adel has developed a humble, quiet personality where he refuses to kill and avoids fighting. However, when pushed in a fight, his old personality of being wild, cocky, and even lethal starts to show again. This is done somewhat consciously as a psychological tactic which made him so fearful before.

Style: Adel is well trained in martial arts with various weapons as all Crux weilders. He has normal physical abilities which can be increased by propelling himself or encasing himself with the cuse of his Crux. However he prefers to conserve energy and will rely on this only when he has to. He prefers psychological attacks, causing his opponents to lose focus or become distracted. He's a thinking fighter, studying his opponents and using strategy rather than an ultimate attack.
